Online Degree Option The Computer Information Systems Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree can be completed online without ever taking a campus-based course. Online students must have ready access to a computer with an internet connection. Students must be self-motivated, organized and possess strong time management skills. An important note about tuition for online students who live outside New York State: Students residing outside New York State who take online courses exclusively are eligible to receive a college scholarship that will reduce the tuition to New York State resident rates. After you complete the application process, you will receive a letter of confirmation. You will then be contacted about placement testing options if testing is necessary. Finally, you will receive notification from the Business Advisement Center to set up an online, phone or in-person academic advisement appointment. Review Tuition and Fees Important Additional Information Some online courses have required on-campus labs and/or proctored exams. Through careful planning with an academic advisor, this degree can be completed totally online. Courses can be transferred from other institutions. However, at least 50 percent of the credits for your degree must be obtained at Hudson Valley Community College. Please contact the department for details.
